Sheils Motor Group was established in 1925 by Thomas Sheils as a main Ford dealer for Ennis, Co Clare. T. Sheils & Company expanded to open a further Ford dealership on the Ennis Road, Co Limerick and was taken over by Thomas’s son, Ted Sheils, and later succeeded by his son, Thomas Sheils. In 2013, T.Sheils & Company acquired the Honda franchise in their Ennis and Limerick dealerships. In December 2018, the company acquired Higgins Motorpark in Galway City to become one of Ireland’s largest Ford dealer groups and Ireland’s largest Honda group by area. As a used car dealership, the Group offer huge used vehicle choice to the West of Ireland with almost 250 quality used cars in stock and competitive car finance available on site. The acquisition of Motorpark in Galway brings the work force of Sheils Motor Group from 40 to approximately 80 employees and merges two long established and experienced Ford dealerships in the West of Ireland.
